This popular color scheme - black, with shades of blue, magenta and green - has a bonus: copper. Small trails of copper dots float among the otherworldly clouds, like stars. Solid - nearly 3 lbs! 4” tall and over 8-1'/2” at the rim, it is the largest thing I’ve made to date. On white stoneware.
When Oatmeal glaze touches Iron Lustre, it does interesting things. This time, on a ridged pot in hazelnut, it teased out blues, oranges and tans. This bowl looks and feels great, and it would be delighted to hold anything you ask it to. About 4-1/4” wide, 3-3/4” at the rim, by 3-3/4” tall.

This copper, green and mulberry serving bowl will make a statement on your table. Elegant and functional, it’s deep at 4” with a 6” wide rim. Sturdy at nearly 2 lbs. On white stoneware.
My POV
After a year of pottering, I found myself with lots of pots and less and less room to store them. Also, I sometimes get a sense that a certain pot seems to “belong” to someone. They might be celebrating, or grieving, or having a moment. Or maybe they just need to know someone is paying attention. So I started mailing out stealth pots along with a short note. It’s a ton of fun.
One friend called and said, “How did you know? I was feeling really low today and then your sweet pot arrived in the mail!” People send me photos of the piece in their home. I’ve received long letters and short texts expressing wonder and gratitude. The element of surprise, the delight in being “thought of”, and the pleasure of having something handmade are some kind of secret sauce. So now I’m on a mission to give people a little boost. I’m the lucky one, because there are dear people in my life who smile when they see that little pot.
